SHOULD I WEAR A COSTUME?

This. is. FANTASY.  It's pretty much required. And this year's theme is the most mystical realm we have ever dared venture into: Dark Magick Seas, in honor of our ocean cause. Think ancient ancestral deities, gods and goddesses of Nature's 4 elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water), mermaids and mermen, ocean life (real or Fantasy)!  We have the only winner-takes-all $1,500 Fantasy Costume Contest on 2 coasts, and this year we're adding another $500 in cash and prizes, totaling $2,000 PLUS we're introducing a very special "Trashion" category to bring awareness to the ever-growing plastic pollution in our oceans. Our guests do not play games when it comes to our unique MasqueRave, and there are no 'box costumes,' so dive deep into your imagination and start on your creation as early as possible if you want to make a splash. *Just please be mindful of the materials you decide to use for your Fantasy masterpiece - we are a sustainable festival. If you don't want to come in-costume, don't worry, your body is a canvas. Our talented face and body paint artists will assist in your Fantasy transformation with eco-friendly paints and plant-based/eco glitter.

I'VE NEVER BEEN TO ELEKTRIK FANTASY. WHAT KINDS OF PEOPLE WILL I MEET?

Ocean lovers, earth lovers, awakened spirits, Burners, ravers, hardcore costumers, house heads, techno heads, oddballs, conscious connoisseurs of quality intelligent Electronic Dance Music, authentic experience-seekers, change-seekers, change-makers, beauty-finders, those who long to be a part of something more substantial, who want to make a genuine difference, who truly want to elevate, connect with others and Nature through the Music, and who believe - as we do - in the Music as a catalyst for authentic change. Elektrik Fantasy is for everyone who has been wanting something completely different in their festival experience, or who maybe don't even attend dance music festivals because they might not feel like they "fit in," because of their age, sexual orientation, or taste in music - whatever reason. Even if you're not about the "change" thing and you just love to have a good time, we got you. ALL cultures, backgrounds, lifestyles and Tribes are welcome to experience Fantasy.

CAN I MAKE/BRING A TOTEM?

Absolutely! Again, this is FANTASY.  Individual and tribal creative expression is highly encouraged, especially with our global theme this year of unity, social change and environmental awareness. Just please be mindful of the materials you use to create your awesome totems, Elektrik Fantasy has a #zeroplastics rule unless you're making an environmental statement. We can't wait to see your totems held high - remember, the world will see them, too, because we will be streaming LIVE and recording video.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH GETTING TO AND PARKING AT THIS "FANTASY ISLAND" LOCATION?
 We'll be revealing our "Fantasy Island" location when the time is right. There will be plenty of parking, AND we have shuttle service in the works so we reduce our carbon footprint even more. We encourage carpooling together, ride-sharing (we'll announce our official rideshare partner soon, too) -  Full details will be posted here as we get closer to the festival. YEAH BUT THIS IS SOUTH FLORIDA - HOW MUCH WILL FOOD & DRINKS SET ME BACK?

Legit question. And normally you'd get this answer: If you have to ask, you can't afford it. Well guess what? Elektrik Fantasy doesn't play by the often pretentious South Florida rules. First off, water is FREE. And it'll be cold and filtered, thanks to our Fantasy Hydration Station Partners. Second, we've arranged it with our vendors so that no dish is over $15, and bevvies (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are not only non-SoFlo prices, but they won't be served in a plastic cup or with a plastic straw.  YAY to being a sustainable festival!
